Throughout life, growing up you can question your sexuality. However, through todays society, being a heterosexual is more acceptable so if your a homosexual, you'll sometimes try to cover it up and act as though your a heterosexual.
In the reading, to me it seemed as though it was showing how homosexuals are categorized. If your actually a straight guy and you decide to become bald, interested in music or art, nursing and etc, you would be mistaken for a homosexual. This was interesting and shocking to me at the same time. It shows you how stereotypical society can be.
I agree, but this is something that starts from birth in our society for example certain things that a person may like may have to be hidden because of what society may say. I had a male friend who is bi-secxual, this friend enjoys doing hair,but wheni recently asked him to do my hair he said he tryining to discipline his self away from that type of lifestyle and try to be straight becasxue his sister is not accepting his homosexual lifesyle, plus he wants to go to the military.
